hyloop is our answer to sending shoes to landfill. hyloop is our tailored product services platform where we offer specific care, repair and recycling solutions to your product. You can access the platform by tapping the hyloop logo on your shoe’s tongue with your phone. Because we believe in more life and less landfill.
We replace the industry-standard polyester with PLA in a knitted upper construction to ensure a breathable and lightweight feel.
✖Renewable & bio-based. We remove synthetic rubber and use this naturally-produced alternative, predominantly derived from the native Brazilian plant Hevea brasiliensis. Increases tear resistance.
✖Bio-based ethylene vinyl acetate is light, flexible and durable. Made from sugarcane, that material is mixed with Pebax® and nitro-infused into our midsole for a cushioned responsive ride. It is 100% recyclable.
✖Used in the outsole to create consistency of performance.
✖POE is an elastomer added to all midsole compounds. Its main purpose is to control the hardness, rebound and other physical properties of the foam.
✖Our usage of recycled polyester is something we want to reduce. However, its performance credentials are required for strength and durability while reducing our reliance on virgin polyester.
✖Pebax® is used in the RUN’s midsole - it is lightweight and provides exceptional energy return allowing for cushioned ground impact as well as maximum response.
✖EVA is a material we want to find an alternative for over time. It currently provides stability and shock absorption in the RUN’s insole.
✖Our use of bio-based TPU increases the durability and dirt-resistance of the RUN’s upper while reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.
✖Increased dirt-resistance and durability. Protecting the RUN’s upper from any weather that’s thrown at it.
✖Our use of Tencel here means less water-intensive in production. Manufactured as woven twill it reduces slip in the RUN’s topcloth.
